After having her keel removed and having been prepared at the V1D2 yards by SailingOne team with the help of Marc Lefebvre (V1D2), Bostik, the first unit of the Veolia Oceans® one-design series of the SolOceans was put on a lorry and set off for Paris on this Monday afternoon December 1st. She will be displayed as guest of honours of the Nautic, the International Paris Boat Show, from 5 until 14 December, in front of Hall 1 of the Palais des Expositions-Porte de Versailles (Paris). It's the first time that it will thus be presented to the largest audience. The Veolia Oceans® one-design Class and SolOceans teams will be present during the whole Nautic on the Région Basse-Normandie Stand - Lower Normandy Region Stand (Hall 1 - Stand R72). Laurent Beauvais, President of the Lower Normandy Regional Council will host on this stand, a press conference on Tuesday 9 December at 11.30am sharp. This press conference will precise the sporting programme of the Veolia Oceans® Class for the four seasons (2009-2012) in the presence of Jean-Pierre Champion, President of the French Sailing Federation. The Veolia OceanoScientific Campaign®, announced exactly two years ago on November 29th 2006, will be detailed in the presence of Fabienne Gaillard, Researcher IFREMER at the Laboratoire de Physique des Océans (Oceans Physics Laboratory), in charge of the GLOSCAL Project of calibration / validation of the SMOS satellite and manager of the Veolia OceanoScientific Campaign® for the different international institutes engaged in this campaign for the scientists whole over the world.
Bostik, the first unit of the Veolia Oceans® one-design of the SolOceans was prepared at the V1D2 yards before being loaded on the lorry carrying her to the International Paris Boat Show where she will be displayed as guest of honours from 5 until 14 December 2008.
