Bostik the first unit of the Veolia Oceans® one-design series, was shipped back to Europe. Charles Caudrelier sailed it on the test sail of the first leg of the SolOceans, between Caen (France) and Wellington (New Zealand), in 54 days over 14,000 nautical miles (22,000 km). In fact, the density of the iceberg field around Cape Horn (South America) was too big to go on sailing the second leg of the test sail of the SolOceans. SailingOne’s technical team is at the moment preparing Bostik, who will arrive in Caen by sea in about ten days. Charles Caudrelier and Bostik will then set sail for a big promotional campaign of the SolOceans in the Netherlands, Germany, Sweden, France (on the Atlantic and Mediterranean coasts) and Malta at the end of the season, with in-between a return reconnaissance transatlantic between Cherbourg-Octeville (France) and New York City (USA).
